From Renato Carosone to Cesare Andrea Bixio, all the undisputed protagonists of the Italian songbook from the 1930s to the 1950s have been part of his lineup. He is currently among the most renowned Italian swing musicians and composers. Despite his surname, Lorenzo Hengeller is a Neapolitan singer-songwriter and pianist who has quickly established himself as a prominent figure in the Italian "jezzata" singer-songwriter scene. Hengeller brings his quartet to the Jazz sotto le Pietrelcina Festival, featuring an exceptional jazz rhythm section with Gabriele Evangelista on double bass, Bernardo Guerra on drums, and the great Gianfranco Campagnoli on trumpet and flugelhorn. The singer-pianist, as he has now become known, will transform the concert into a spectacle of swing, humor, and Neapolitan poetry.
