Description
The “Memories of Padre Pio” Museum, attached to the Capuchin Friars’ Convent in Pietrelcina, houses a collection of items closely tied to the Saint’s human and spiritual journey, covering the entire span of his life. Visitors will find the cradle that held baby Francesco, the desk of his schoolteacher—at which he did his homework—as well as garments, including a Capuchin habit and the famous tunic worn during the scourging.
The museum also features sacred vestments and paintings by the artist Francesco Gentile, depicting the environment and landscape of Pietrelcina.
How to reach it
The museum is annexed to the Church of the Holy Family and can also be accessed from the tomb of Brother Modestino.
